RISE TOGETHER

If you are reading this you are probably wondering what does he mean by rise together. When rising together everyone rising has the same goal. In this case, the Chicago Cubs. If the fans of Chicago do not “rise together” and support their team, the team has no hope. With out the Chicago Cubs fans, what would the cubs be? Without Wrigley Field what would the cubs be? Have you ever stopped and asked yourself those questions. Better yet, ask yourself who you would be without the cubs. Would you be the same person you are today? I doubt it. Personally the cubs have taught me about defeat and picking yourself up when you’re down. They have taught me that there is always second chances, even if you have to wait until next year. If you are a cubs fan, it is time to rise together with all other cubs fans. Rising together does not have to mean you go out quit your job and go to every cubs game here on out. You just have to cheer for your team, support them through the roller coaster ride that is the MLB baseball season. Barack Obama spoke of rising. “… or we can choose to rise together. This is our moment. This is our time to unite in common purpose, to make this century the next American century.” I think we need to rise together. This is our time to unite. And make this century the Century of the Chicago Cubs.
